When we started our business in 1989, we chose the name Natural-StateWines to reflect our philosophy of offering wines that have nothing to hide. We feel that wine is a natural product, and that a winemaker's goal should be to allow the grape and terroir to reach their own expression in the glass.

   Throughout history, inferior wine has been subjected to additives in an attempt to improve its appeal. At every instance, scrupulous winemakers have rightly condemned those who made adulterated wine. At Natural-State Wines we applaud those who restrict the use of chemicals in their vineyards and wineries and we will continue to offer those wines (including Ohio's largest selection of certified organic wines) to the consumers of Ohio.

   "Wines for Everyone" reflects our philosophy that natural wines used in moderation is a healthy beverage that can be enjoyed by all. We scour the globe to bring you great natural wines for all types of consumers at everyday prices. Many of our wineries are not household names, but be assured we taste and re-taste every item in our catalog before bringing it in to make sure it meets our quality standards.

   About the reviews and scores- not all of our wines are reviewed. Some wineries production is so limited that reviews are unnecessary for the producer to sell out of their product. Although we like favorable reviews, we don't base all of our wine buying decisions on scores!
